Dato’ Seri Mohd Hussaini Hj Abdul Jamil [Chairman]

  • Dato 'Seri Mohd Hussaini had a distinguished career in public service (Administrative & Diplomatic Services) for 31 years beginning in 1961, including 20 years working in the Ministry of Finance to the position of Deputy Secretary of the Treasury for eight years. He retired in 1991 while in office as Secretary General of the Ministry of Health. He was a prudent and have clear objectives where his achievements include many things. During his tenure in government, he managed to recover Sugar Company Annotated with accumulated losses of RM85 million within 5 years. He also restored the investment company Kuwait Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., with accumulated losses amounting to RM35 million in 1½ years.

    After retiring from public service, he engaged in the private sector and a member of the Board of Directors for several companies such as Inter Majestic Sdn Bhd and Renown Consult Sdn Bhd. He is also the Chairman of the National Real Estate Investment Company (PHNB)

    In addition to managing the company, he was always strict and serious about financial matters because of his vast experience in the related field.

Dato’ Ir Zaini Haji Ismail [Chief Executive Officer]

  • Dato' Ir Zaini bin Haji Ismail is a Professional Engineer for the past 35 years with B.Eng. (Hons.) Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield, England.  He is also an Adjudicator registered with KLRCA. He has vast experience in the technical and managerial field having served the Government in Jabatan Kerja Raya for 12 years before venturing into the private sector.  His experience in Jabatan Kerja Raya covers Geotechnical Engineering, Design Works, Buildings, Roads, management of Jabatan Kerja Raya District Pulau Pinang and planning, implementation and maintenance of roads in Johor.  He was one of the pioneers in expanding the scope and responsibility of the Geotechnical and Materials Division in IKRAM (Institut Kerja Raya Malaysia).

    His stint in the private sector started in Percon Corporation Sdn. Bhd. as Head of Research and Development Department rising rapidly to Deputy General Manager (Technical Services) and eventually as General Manager, Prolintas Sdn. Bhd., a concession company implementing the Ampang to Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway costing RM700m on a B.O.T. concept. He was instrumental in packaging the concept and making the project viable.  He was also actively involved in the planning, packaging, tendering, negotiation with the Government and implementing the Shah Alam Expressway Privatisation Project as one of the team members of KESAS Sdn. Bhd.  With his engineering and managerial background, he is well placed as a technocrat running the Company.

Dato’ Ir. Sonny Cheah Lai Shin

  • A chartered civil engineer by profession, Dato’ Sonny Cheah, holds a B.Sc.(Engineering) from the University of London,  M.Sc.(Engineering) from Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London and B.A (Law) from Ealing College, U.K.  

    Dato' Cheah started his career in several construction firms in the United Kingdom before returning to Malaysia in 1980. He has extensive experience in civil engineering works, having handled the design and implementation of some large and complex civil engineering projects, both in the United Kingdom and Malaysia. 

    After returning from UK, Dato' Cheah served as Senior Engineer with the Public Works Department (JKR) followed by a short stint with Consulting Engineers, Ranhill Bersekutu before joining the Peremba Group of Companies.  Dato' Cheah has subsequently diversified into property development and a variety of business and management portfolios. Dato' Cheah held senior management positions at public listed companies in Malaysia including Landmarks Bhd and Amalgamated Industrial Steel Bhd.  During this time, Dato' Cheah was also appointed Honorary Consul of Namibia in Malaysia from 1995 to 1998 and also served as Member of the Construction Industry Development Board of Malaysia (CIDB) from 1995 to 1996.

    Currently Dato' Cheah holds the position of President of Malaysian Overseas Ventures Sdn Bhd.  In 2007, he was also appointed as Commissioner of the Board of the National Water Services Commission of Malaysia which overlooks the regulation of the water and sewerage sectors in Malaysia, on a 2 year term.  Dato' Cheah is currently serving on his 4th term as Commissioner of SPAN.

    Dato' Cheah was bestowed the award of "DSDK" which carries the title of Dato' by the Sultan of Kedah in Malaysia.

Encik Nazli Bin Awang Had

  • Encik Nazli bin Awang Had pursued his BBA in Computer Information Sciences at Temple University, Philadelphia in the United States. Upon his return he was attached to several notable establishments over a period of 20 years. He was the Head for the Implementations and Technical Support Department in Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad. From there he then joined a niche design house, Embedded Wireless Labs (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd that focuses on R&D in the field of wireless communications and the Internet. One of the main project he was involved with was the development of a wireless telecommunication platform that is cost effective for rural and remote location deployments. He was head hunted for a position in Intel Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd to look into Intel’s World Ahead program, an initiative to bring connectivity and computerization to the underserved groups. While in Intel he was involved in the formulation of proposed activities to the Malaysian Government to be considered as a part of the National Stimulus Plan in 2008. He now serves as the Chief Technical Officer in MSD Group of Companies.
